The net area to be treated, without waste.

kg/m²

From the TDS of the approved product.

As the approved specification requires.

%

An allowance for cuts, overlaps, details and site losses.

kg

The net weight of one pail or kit.

How it is calculated

  1. Consumption per m² = consumption per coat × coats
  2. Total = area × consumption per m² × (1 + waste %)
  3. Pails = round up [ total ÷ pail size ]

QQuestions

Questions clients ask

How do I work out a liquid waterproofing quantity?

Quantity = area × consumption per m² per coat × the number of coats needed for the required dry film thickness, plus a waste allowance, divided by the pack size. The consumption comes from the product data sheet.
