General Contracting
Project delivery in Riyadh and beyond — from excavation, foundations and structure to facades and finishes through handover, with waterproofing and building-protection expertise at every stage.

Overview
One contractor from excavation to handover
Prime Shield is a Saudi company specialising in general contracting and insulation. We deliver a project from excavation, foundations and structural works, through architectural and electromechanical works and facades, to the finishes and turnkey handover — under one responsibility.
What sets our contracting apart is that a building’s protection details are planned with its structural and architectural works from day one, not added at the end: foundation waterproofing at the right moment before backfilling, roof and wet-area details before the finishes, and handover with a documented file.

From structure to finish
Foundation to handover, one team
One sequence, one responsibility: each stage is checked and handed over ready for the next.
Planning
Drawings, quantities and protection details settled before work starts.
Structure
Excavation, foundations and frame — the foundations waterproofed before backfill.
Envelope
Walls, and the roof with its waterproofing and insulation.
Preparation
Screeds, levelling and render that ready each surface for its finish.
Finishes
Floors, walls and ceilings over the protection layers.
Handover
Tests, documents and the acceptance report.

Construction workflow
From planning to handover
Two ways to contract; the exact scope of each project is set out in the offer:
Turnkey
One responsibility from the structural works to handover.
Defined package
Waterproofing and protection, or finishes, within a project run by a main contractor; we also work as a subcontractor.
Planning
Drawings, bill of quantities and specifications reviewed; scope, stages and programme defined.

Structure
Excavation, foundations and the concrete frame, with foundation waterproofing before backfill.

Execution
Architectural and electromechanical works, sequenced to protect what came before.
Facade
The envelope: facades, glazing, aluminium and concrete protection.

Interior completion
Wet-area waterproofing, then the interior finishes.

Handover
Tests, the acceptance report and the quality file.

Before you ask
Questions
Do you deliver turnkey projects?
Yes. Our scope covers structural, architectural, electromechanical and finishing works through to handover; the exact scope of each project is set out in the offer.
Can we award only part of the works?
Yes. You can award a defined package — waterproofing and protection, or finishes — within a project run by a main contractor; we also work as a subcontractor.
What do you need to price a project?
Architectural and structural drawings, the bill of quantities if there is one, the specifications and site photos. The more complete the data, the faster and more accurate the quote.
What does a general contractor do?
They deliver the whole project to the drawings and specifications under one responsibility: mobilisation, structural, architectural, electromechanical and finishing works, and managing subcontractors, suppliers, the programme, quality and safety through handover.
What is the difference between a main contractor and a subcontractor?
The main contractor holds the contract with the owner and answers for the whole project; a subcontractor delivers a defined package for the main contractor. Prime Shield works both ways — as main contractor, or as a specialist subcontractor for waterproofing, protection and finishes.
Why does it matter that waterproofing is part of the contracting scope?
Because the worst waterproofing mistakes are about timing and sequence — foundations waterproofed before backfill, roof and wet-area details before the finishes. When the same contractor plans the waterproofing with the structural and architectural works, no layer is forgotten or covered before it is inspected.
